Landon Heading Home Today

From his Facebook page:

I’m sitting in Heathrow airport about to head home. I’m really excited to get home to friends, family, sunshine and my teammates but it’s definitely bittersweet. I wish I had more words than “thank you” to all the Evertonians who made my stay so wonderful. I will miss you guys but I’m sure we will see each other again in the future. Have a great Sunday!

Oh crap! Poor Beckham. And all he wanted was to go to the World Cup, even if he was on the bench for most of it.

Wow. poor Beckham! I tore my achilles in January and have only been with out crutches for 2 weeks. I would not wish this injury on anyone. It's a long recovery. They told me it would be a year before I can play again.
What I wondered was why he went to Finland for surgery? Don't they have good surgeons in Italy? I wish him the best!

That is, perhaps a ray of sunshine for the Galaxy. Unfortunately, today cast a shadow emanating from their other loan deal. David Beckham has suffered an injury that will rule him out of the World Cup and most, if not all, of the 2010 MLS season:
