Mike, actually the Sounders FO did it in a very interesting way. They showed the first half at the stadium on the big screens, then cut out completely. No updates, nothing, till after the Sounders game, when they showed the second half.

Unfortunately by that time we all knew what had happened, given that when Brazil scored the third goal, half the stadium checked their text messages and let out very loud swear words.

Still, though, a great performance by our boys.

Laurie how could you leave to go to a Sounders game in the middle of our first ever FIFA Final?

I saw that play going down before it happened and I started yelling like a mad man “GIVE IT TO DONOVAN YOU BASTARDS”.

When Donovan made the pass to Davies I was jumping up and down freaking out and yelling “GIVE IT BACK TO DONOVAN YOU SHIT”.

It was just the best play anyone could have asked for. Simply brilliant. I would have cried as well but I had to get back to work soon… ummm…err… I mean I’m a man…

I left for the Sounders game right after the Dempsey goal, so I hadn’t seen that one. I DVRed it, but haven’t been able to make myself watch.

But I will say that I got a little teary-eyed watching the video, Jen. So it’s NOT just you!! (Please, please, please let some nice mid-table EPL team have been watching.)

after that goal though, it all fell apart…….
