I happened to turn on the game minutes before that goal. That was beautiful!

A really great goal. *Slight* deflection but the curve he put on that was awesome.

Did anyone notice that we are tied with Columbus for least amount of losses in MLS? WAY TO GO DEFENSE!!!

Nah, there was no deflection. A deflection, by the laws of physics, would have to alter the spin on the ball as well as the trajectory. Which it doesn’t. That was a clean strike, whizzed by the defenders head without touching him. Strong candidate for GOTY, IMO.

That’s got to be a top 3 choice for GOTY, in my humble opinion.

I *LOVE* how well Landon is playing right now – for the last year or so really. His game has really advanced over the past 12 months. He’s playing his best futbol ever and he’s doing it consistently. Bravo.

    Now vote for his goal!

… there might have been a wisp of hair that was microscopically scraped as the ball whizzed by, but it had no effect on the ball itself.

Shalrie Joseph’s ponytails MIGHT have given the ball a slight nudge. But Nicole’s physics is correct.

That was an EFFIN’ A for AWESOME shot!

Oh wow, even my husband clicked the link (miracle), watched the goal (another miracle), and actually voted for him. He keeps track of soccer (and this blog) about as well as I keep track of the World Series of Poker standings. (That is, of course, his thing, although I’m getting pretty good at the game.)

I married well you guys, I married well.

Hey guys, finally a positive article on the national scale about Landon Donovan’s “transformation” as a player… Plus check out the videos on this site, a good interview with LD after the N England game….
