Look What Came In the Mail

Awwww yeahhhhh.

I finally get to see the Galaxy play live after years of having season tickets in LA. So I’ll get to take photos (they won’t be great, but I’ll share the best ones) and report on the game as a fan in the stands.

The only “issue,” I guess, is that I’m going to be smack dab in the middle of the Screaming Eagles/Barra Brava. I considered wearing my Galaxy gear, but that might not be wise. Instead I’m going to wear black, join the throngs in the front rows, sing and jump until I’m exhausted, and secretly fist pump when the Galaxy scores. I think that’s the only way to survive.

And of course the second ticket is for the Open Cup Final, DC United vs. Seattle. (Hmm, I wonder if that will make Laurie jealous.) The tickets came as a package at a discount.

In other news, Nathan is out of town on a family emergency so he hasn’t been by to comment on Saturday’s ~~mess~~ match against the Sounders. He’ll add his thoughts when he returns home this weekend.

Just for fun, my own video (you’re gonna love the quality) of Jaime Moreno’s penalty kick from the DCU v. Rapids game I went to in June.

Hey Evan, the tickets were sold as "best available seat." The seat isn't in the middle of the Screaming Eagles/Barra Brava per se, but it IS in the middle of the spill over section for both fan groups. Based on the seating the last time I was there I'm going to be in the thick of it as long as I'm anywhere in my section. I figured I'd join them toward the front where I can take better photos anyway. If I find any Galaxy supporters there I will hightail it to their section pronto!

What? Huh? Can you try to find some empty seats and sit there? Why did you get tickets in the Barra Brava anyway?
