Dana, I would have kept Glinton over Pavontoo, and even let him go before Buddle. Pavon looked like he was trying but he had too many chances to prove himself which he missed for the money. Maybe he’s brilliant in practice and they think it will translate sooner or later but it was tough to watch.

Dave, you have to understand, it’s nothing personal. It’s just that we’ve gotten burned on this kind of thing before, receiving players who are just past their sell-by date and who don’t quite fill the holes that the team needs filled.

I’d love to see this not be more of the same, but given that we still have the same front office, I’m not so sure.

He had a great season.

He was crapped on by Arena and rode the bench.

And he showed that, when motivated, he is a player. You guys have an amazing pick up and you dont even know it. A 3rd rounder? Come now. This sucks.

He is experiencing quite a renaissaince. Laurie and your beloved Hollywooders will love em. Damn you.

Im gonna go watch Metalocalypse again. This sucks.

All I can say is why? Doesn’t make sense to me. I just read the list of protected players:

Chris Albright, David Beckham, Edson Buddle, Joe Cannon, Landon Donovan, Ty Harden, Ante Jazic, Chris Klein, Carlos Pavon, Mike Randolph and Troy Roberts.

Edson Buddle and Carlos Pavon? I think Glinton played a lot better than either of these 2. Who is making these decisions? I think Yallop was smart to leave.

The thing I find funniest is we get back yet another talent that really blossomed after he left the Galaxy. As far as player movement goes, the past two years have been a huge joke.

I have to admit I haven’t seen him play recently, but in theory he would be a good forward for the artistry of Donovan and Beckham as long as he’s not finishing in the air. He is good at reading developing plays. He could also take the place of or substitute for Martino. (sorry Laurie)

Didn’t we trade Shavar Thomas for a 3rd round pick? Didn’t he play like a serious contender for CUSA Defender of the Year? Wouldn’t this mean a potential local team Defender of the Year traded for the biggest wasted potential player in US futbol?
