This is a coache’s deal to explain his players what they need to do on the field. I’ve never seen Yellop explaining,shouting,inspiring,supporting his team during the games (I saw 9 games for now). It’s strange but he sits on the bench just like on of the minders..
I hope LA can bring Clinsmam…

Quick question: Has Chris Klein ever looked “in position” for the Galaxy? Mag, you got me thinking. When he played on the wing, I kept thinking “is he supposed to be a midfielder?” and now the same question comes to mind when I see him playing at right back.

From what I saw in last games I think LA need to begine to built team for tomorrow. A lot of players play out of position,no connection betwen diffence and midfield,stupid ball losts..I don’t know,but was Yellop always like this…he doesn’t seem to be a coach that leads his team

Chris, I agree with you that I have HIGH hopes for 2008. And I agree that Donovan’s outta here. (I have a Lalas quote somewhere I’ll probably post tomorrow that implies this.)

I still have hopes for a Pavon-Beckham combination, though. Pavon is a poacher’s poacher. All he needs is the service and somebody who understands and can cater to his style of play.

Or that’s what I keep telling myself.

I agree that this season, for the most part, is done. 14 points in 15 games, with a bulk of the games to be on the road, does not bode well for the galaxy. That beings said, looking ahead at ‘08, I think Donovan is done in LA. A healthy Beckham would certainly solidify the midfield. A defense of a seasoned Harden, Xavier, and a healthy Albright could really help out Cannon, who must be shellshaocked at this point.

However, we need a FINISHER!!! Donovan, for being the goal poacher he is, tends to miss a lot of short-range ops (see the header v. Chelsea and the near miss against NE last Sunday), and often seems too hesitant to shoot, looking to make one extra cutback or pass too many, and losing the opportunity. I think the 2nd DP goes to a foreign-based forward of QUALITY finishing skills. We’ll see…

We are done. End of story.

I’m referring to this season as The Lost Season because of all the injuries to start us off and then the crazy trades, the ridiculous schedule, the large number of tournaments, and all the anticipation for number 23 that distracted us from most everything else.

Next year is going to be weird as well since the Gals will need to do something about Donovan’s salary since they only have the one DP spot and his grandfather status expires at the end of this season. They either restructure (unlikely) or deal for a second spot (likelier), but who do you give up for a second DP? Joe Cannon? I can’t see any other team taking Kyle Martino for a DP.

Maybe we win the Superliga and call it a season.

I still have one last hope before giving up on the playoffs. If we can do something against the Red Bulls I think we might still have a chance. We were definitely outplayed tonight, but the goal was given up on some really weak defending. So frustrating. Hopefully we do well in SuperLiga action this week. I hope Beckham sits out in SuperLiga. I’d rather have him healthy for league play.

The difference from last game was Vagenas. You may not like his style but he’s the best distributor that the Galaxy have.
