Now It’s DAVID Beckham and Reality TV
By: Laurie | June 13th, 2007You knew about the Beckham Reality TV thing, right? No, not Posh. DAVID.
The footie hunk – notoriously protective of his private life – will be followed by ITV cameras as he plays his last games for Spanish team Real Madrid and then joins LA Galaxy in California.
Viewers will be treated to ‘full and frank’ interviews with 32-year-old Becks.
So will we see more of Posh here? Don’t count on it.
Wife Victoria, 33, and boys Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz will not feature prominently because TV execs want the documentary to be ‘football-focused’.
A show that’s all football AND all David, all the time? I think maybe I could watch that.

Pass the popcorn.
According to AS.com (in Spanish, but I’m pretty sure…) there’s a second one that will include messages from teammates and friends, including Zidane and Roberto Carlos, http://www.as.com/articulo/futbol/Beckham/hay/solucion/dasftb/20070612dasdaiftb_35/Tes/

I bet Zizou’s message will be a passionate love letter (reLAX Laurie).
I’m almost tempted to write a love sonnet, or a haiku. Almost.

Laurie, didn’t Michael get the memo regarding the critical importance in men’s football for the players to, a) be wearing no protective gear or other binding garments…WHATSOEVER…so constricting, b) trade shirts after EVERY match, c) celebrate with lots of hugging and kissing at ALL times…the only place the poor things are really allowed such fun in public after all.
We MUST show our support and encouragement…it’s the least we can do.
(Do you need more celebrations snaps btw?)

Diane, you’re hilarious; F a haiku, now I want to make a video of playing, stripping, and kissing on the field. What music should I choose for the video? An elegant waltz? A passionate aria?
Or how about something even MORE romantic, like maybe a Selene Dion song?

That would be so brilliant, Michael, and since someplace on this poor site I had an attack of worry about whether MLS is cuddly enough for our previously European based player(s), maybe it could someday become an instructional video (if we do fall short in that regard…I haven’t seen enough to tell).
Hmmm, the music…an elegant waltz would have to be while Zidane is actually playing…James Brown?…Nat King Cole? Wait, I do like the passionate aria idea, Carmen was from Sevilla but would be perfect…can’t wait to see the finished item.Posted from

dude. I was totally thinking Carmen. Ask my co-workers; they hate it when I whistle.

I just got home after a very long day and…well… After reading this, I think I need to go take a cold shower.
(P.S. An instructional video, set to Carmen, sounds like an excellent idea. And be sure to include a sweaty dogpile or two. LOVE those sweaty dogpiles.)
