Offering Up What Little News The Galaxy Website Offers
By: Laurie | February 21st, 2007So I was checking out the Galaxy website again. (Apparent Motto: We Will Tell You Only What We Want You To Know, Which is Nothing.) No word whatsoever on the fact that the guys were due to head to Bermuda on Monday, or on which players they took. The New England Revolution is already in Bermuda, and their website is apparently providing a little more info. Plus Revolution Offside bloggers Jeff and Sabin are totally on this and have done a ton of research on how this Bermuda trip is put together. (Research which I, too, could probably have done. Except I’m basically lazy.) So be sure to check out the Revolution Offside to find out what’s going on with LA.
The one interesting thing I did discover from the Galaxy website is that their top draft pick Robbie Findley is the only draft pick currently listed on the roster. So where are the other guys (and open tryout picks Rui and Laurent)? On the Reserves? (I can’t tell because…guess why… The website doesn’t provide a Reserves roster.) Or are they lost somewhere in “we haven’t placed them yet” limbo? And did they make the trip to Bermuda? And if not… Wow, if you’re one of the draft picks, how do you break that news to your grandma?
But at any rate… I’m on this folks. If any actual Galaxy news ever shows up, anywhere, from any site. Well, I’m totally there.
Unless I have something better to do.
