Nathan, Sigh. You’re probably right. I’m pretty sure he’s just getting a look because he’s a UW guy, but Sigi’s already shown that he’s not moved by emotion in his roster choices.

He still doesn’t have what it takes to play in MLS. I mean, listen, he couldn’t make a _Galaxy_ team, right? I don’t care if the Sounders are an expansion team. The only expansion team Allen could make the roster of would be the 2005 Chivas USA.

So who will the 3 be?

The team website only shows 25 roster players, but that doesn’t include Sanneh. http://la.galaxy.mlsnet.com/players/roster.jsp?club=t106&sort=pp&order=asc. It is really light on defenders, although Klein and Miglioranzi can both play back. There are a half dozen players I don’t even know.

The only guy I would have wanted to stay was BMac and maybe Mike, but since they cut our dev. spots, I understand the cuts. We do need to be down to the 24 players by March 2, and I think we need to drop like 3 more guys.

Steve-O, you are right about Cronin. There was not one “Wow!” moment in all of his playing minutes last year. We wanted to know when the hell they were going to put Wicks in. Then Cronin got injured and Wicks was somewhat better, but nothing great either. I’m looking forward to seeing Ricketts in goal.

I’m not going to miss any of those guys and good riddance! This isn’t a social club, it’s a professional soccer team that we shell out hundreds of dollars to as fans and supporters. The Galaxy should be able to spend their TOP RANKING PROFITS on better players than last place finishers. Beckham and Donovan probably wouldn’t be running as fast and far to get away from this losing team if we had even an average roster. I admire both their championship talents and truly cannot blame them for not wanting to be on a losing team, that lost after they gave their all. And those 2 really did give their all.

As it stood, we were far below average tying with an expansion team for last place. Personally, I could cut a few more players than that! They didn’t step up and get the job done. Bye bye! Yes, Cronin had zero defense in front of him, but a keeper with some talent and ability would have wowed us now and again with “Wow, Cronin saved it against all odds!” etc. I saw every game last year and was at almost all home games and even SJ away games. He sucked thoroughly and throughout. After watching the loss to the Bluewings (own goal!! Missed penalties!!), and hearing the lack of confidence in Arena’s post interview, I fear for this year as well. Yet…I’m still a fan, so there ya go.

I loved Mike and am sad to see him go. But truth be told, his prior season was much better than his last. On a team with a sagging defense he was a high point. On a team rebuilding, he probably doesn’t quite get it done. I will miss him though.

When I was at the PPC on Saturday, my Dad and I actually ran into Mike Randolph on the main concourse after the game. He said everything was going well in camp and that things were coming together nicely. It comes as a shock to see him go after it seemed like he would being staying.
