It makes practically no sense for us in the short term, especially given that Jimmy Conrad has been figuring into USMNT play so heavily of late. He was always the guy to step in when either Conrad or Nick Garcia couldn't play. His scouting report pretty much reads as a slightly slower but extremely solid center back who plays well in the air. ...and if we don't fill in all of our gaps, the 2nd round pick we gave you for Hartman will be higher than the one you gave us for Thomas. Ay! As far as KC fans bemoaning the move, though, we've become weary of pretty much anything to do with moving people in and out, as we haven't caught any breaks in years...
