I'm so honored to be in the post!!! So, of course I agree with everything your might say or think, Jen. Maybe Kirovski knows things about taking penalties that we aren't aware of so fresh legs AND just-in-case it goes to penalties? I'm with jd, I'm not questioning Arena's decisions at this point.

On the subject of penalties, Donovan is insane -- obviously.

His performance may not have been visibly game-changing, but I'm not sure how things would have worked out without Delagarza's extra edge of speed (and of course nerves of steel and match intelligence beyond his years). I agree with the Rookie of the Year choice, but both those kids amaze me.

Berhalter was amazing, what a great game in every way. Yeah, I guess I am focusing a bit on the defense.

I kept thinking of Jen's "kill, Dema, kill" and thinking he had checked the blog before the game.

Gordo dribbled! And put himself about, as they say, to good effect even before drawing the foul.

The call against the Houston goal was fair, although half of the time those aren't made, and when its my team it makes me as crazy as that one made the Houston fans, but we've all had to live with our share.

I couldn't believe Brian Ching was still walking by the end of the game.

Even donning a cute baby can't alleviate that hair situation. But Becks certainly found something in the reserve tank in OT. As I said on Laurie's post...all the old dawgs hung in. (Counting the baby-defenders, the average age of the final XI still must have been up there).

Good luck next week!!!!

What an amazing and weird game...in the first half, with the ACB and Riot Squad yelling "LA"..."Galaxy" it was so loud, everyone started joining in, it was the loudest I ever heard it! When the lights went out everyone gasped WTF? Dont know about beer sales, but perfectly timed bathroom breaks. The second outage, you've got to be kidding me....back to the bathrooms! As for the play of the game, I'll never understand Magee and Jovan..just as most of you dont understand Gordo...(way to take a foul #21!) Defense rocked with Franklin, AJ and of course Gonzilla...what ever Arena's decisions, we stand, yell, and encourage, for this was truly a team effort. Thank you LAG for an inspired performance and to the fans who have stuck with this team. See you in Seattle!
