Steve Cronin Gets a Surprise Call-up
By: Laurie | January 7th, 2008
Guess who’s playing with the Nats? Our very own Steve Cronin.
Steve got the call to the USMNT camp this week when the Chicago Fire’s Matt Pickens reportedly went for a tryout in England. (DuNord is saying Norwich, and DuNord is never wrong on these things.) It’s Steve’s first experience with the big boys.
Congrats, Steve! Make us proud! (And make me believe you can replace Joe Cannon on a full-time basis.)

Yay!
(I think this may be the official death knell to Cannon ever getting a call-up again so its kind of a bittersweet yay.)

Dammit, my cousin is supposed to buy the tickets for the Sweden game but hasn’t given me confirmation. I better not miss this game, especially now that we have another Galaxy player in it.

Melissa, I had that same thought. *Sigh*

I got my tickets! Kinda, they are will call, so I won’t have the physical ticket in my hand until minutes before I enter the stadium. Laurie, are you going to the USA vs. Sweden game?

Alas, I can’t even watch the game on TV. I have an annual commitment for this night. We go to my husband’s admin’s house and exchange gifts and drink shots with risque names. (It’s not my fault. It’s a requirement.)
Let me know how it goes!
