The Beckham Children Learn Young How to Deal with Paparazzi
By: Laurie | April 18th, 2008
I love children. Particularly precocious ones.
And I am sure the paparazzi completely deserved it.
As a mom, I’m quite impressed with his fine motor skills. Do you know how hard it is to do this when you’re three?
(It’s a youngest child thing. My baby has also always been quite old for his age.)
This version came from Kickette. My first thought was “Photoshop,” but here’s another angle from TMZ.
(Fear not, Beckham fans. I’ll post something Beckham-positive real soon. And I will be getting to some heaven help us pregame stuff also.)

Hey Laurie,
Sorry for the offtopic post, but wasn;t sure if you’d got this in your e-mail. Martek from Nutmegged here.
This season, I’ve been playing the five questions game with a blogger from a
team Dynamo is about to play. I send the blogger five questions and then she or
he sends me five questions. We post our respective Q&As on our sites and come
up with something unique and fun. Already, I’ve done this with Travis from
The Offside-Wizards, Jimmy Chowda from Blue Blooded Journo (from whom I ripped off
the idea last year before MLS Cup, which isn’t much because he ripped it off
from a Celtics blog)and a blogger from Sydney prior to the Pan Pacifics in Hawaii. You want to do this? If so, here are my five questions for you:
1. Like Dynamo, the Galaxy’s results so far this season have to have been somewhat
less than you would have wanted. What do you think has contributed mainly to the
poor start?2. I know it’s early, but what would you say is the biggest difference so far
in the Galaxy under Gullit and the team under Yallop? Or do you see much difference?
Are the players happier under Gullit or not so much?3. How acutely does Galaxy feel the loss of Carlos Ruiz? Do you think someone will/can
step up to fill that void, and if so who, as Landon Donovan can’t do it every
game (or can he)?4. Rate Galaxy’s defensive effort right now on a scale of 10. Has Steve Cronin
done anything to justify his leap from the USL to a No. 1 in MLS? Is there hope
that the back line will be able to come together to keep foes honest? And if so,
who do you look to to lead this charge?5. (How do you like the fact that I’ve gotten to No. 5 without once mentioning
that midfielder from England everyone speaks so highly of?) Prediction for the game? Thanks Laurie,

I think this is photoshop. Can you imagine three years old understands the situatin + knows what does “finger” mean. Look his finger is too long for his small arm.

He has no clue what he is doing….it was a lucky shot and in the next frame the finger would have been up his nose…..

Jim, that was my exact assumption. Straight for the nose or eye or scratching his head. This is not an unfamiliar move amongst kids: Laurie and Kickette! KIDS OFF LIMITS (except those with club contracts of course).

Aw, Diane, I think it’s adorable.
I’m pretty much not kidding. And of COURSE he has no idea what he’s doing. If he does have any clue, and if it’s anything like the sibling thing worked at my house, big brother probably rehearsed him well for this moment, and he’s doing it to get brother’s approval. Not that anything like this has ever happened at MY house. *Cough*. Of course not.

My sense of humor lagged again! The thought enters my mind too much about what all these celebrity kids must think when they are old enough to google their own or their parents’ names. Oy VEY. Hardly the pressing suffering child concern of the day, but I seem to be an equal opportunity worrier
. I’m off to the Red Bulls v New England match tonight. Scouting report so far: live Angel is incredibly graceful on the ball, nice to watch even when he isn’t on top of his game.
