The Beckham ESPN Halftime Interview (Video)

In case you missed it like I did (sorry, my son had friends over last night and I couldn’t kick them out so I could watch the game, although I did consider it) here is the David Beckham halftime interview.

As he says himself, he’s probably not going to play on Saturday. Maybe subbed in for a little at the end. This would be devastating for the Galaxy in more ways than one. Isn’t this going to be before an international audience? Will they still give it the wide coverage if Beckham doesn’t play? Wouldn’t it almost be better if they didn’t?

Oh, and in case you didn’t know, Beckham has been to In-N-Out Burger not once but TWICE in the last three days. And America is a huge country, and so patriotic.

So says the Becks.

But, interestingly, it did leave me feeling more positive about the game than I have in days. He doesn’t seem to be just mouthing the MLS rah rah that others have given him to say. He seems to believe it.

Let’s hope the rest of us can soon too.
