I remember seeing somewhere wicks was the goal keeper of the year in the USL. Is that true? I agree Wicks looked so much more confident, but Cronin was a bit rusty I'm sure from lack of play time. I would run both of them through the ringer again but at this point I would go with Wicks as #1

Oops, sorry I was only joking! By looking at recent history the timber players seem to head for LA as mentioned by another comment....."Dear Galaxy". It is like we are the farm/feeder team. Apologies for the confusion. Come back, Josh!

Wicks made huge improvements to his game last season with Portland, but even before that he always had great numbers with the Vancouver Whitecaps. As you said his positioning in the box, his physical command, his ability to eat up crosses - strong. Until last season his glaring weakness was his delivery, which were laughable when I saw him as a Whitecap.

Last season he was a huge stud for us, easily player of the year: setting team records left and right, leading the league in major statistical categories. Didn't hurt that he had a massive and potent back line in front of him.

If Wicks joins the Galaxy, I'll cry.

Cronin made decent saves and some were helped by the pace of the green parking lot the Gals were playing on. Still think Beckham the Captain needs to be in certain players faces. Pressure is relative, and some of these guys have been in pressure situations before; so its time to get helled at by your cap.
