Thinking About Thinking About the SuperDraft
By: Laurie | January 8th, 2008You have no idea how happy I am that the SuperDraft is next week. The off-season has been SO boring. Half of the “news” I get on our players isn’t even about our players. (As an example, our Ty Harden has been in hibernation, but I know all about James Harden and Ty Abbott, who apparently play basketball at Arizona State.)
Basketball. *Yawn.* Do people watch that?
Oh, and Brooklyn Beckham, age 8, got an iPhone for Christmas.
This is why I’m looking forwrad to the SuperDraft.
The SuperDraft is when the season really begins. The time when the team can start plugging the holes that were exposed last year. Before too long I’ll get busy and do some research on the prospects. Or actually, I’ll get you some links to other people who’ve done the research, because I’m way too damn lazy.
The Combine’s this weekend, for those who didn’t know. List of players, divided into their oh-so-cutesy-name-branded teams, minus the Generation Adidas kids (TBA tomorrow), is here. If you’re familiar with any of these young men, leave comments.
I’m assuming we don’t need more rookies on the back line and will push hard for defensive midfielders and forwards. And maybe a keeper. (Did Lance Friesz get officially waived, or is he still around?)
