To Pay Or Not To Pay?
By: jen | March 25th, 2008
I’ve been contemplating this while reviewing history’s 10 most terrifying contraceptives.
Do I go ahead and order Pay Per View of tomorrow’s France vs. England match? I think the answer is yes. And come to find out, I actually have a $10 credit on my satellite account, so the PPV fee will be even less than usual.
I checked out some online sites that will stream the game for a lesser fee (not sure if I can mention them or not, but I’m sure you can find them easily enough), but my large screen tv is a must for this match. I need resolution baby! Besides, I’d have no chance of finding Laurie in the crowd on my computer screen.
There are also no bars or pubs here in Middle-of-Nowhere that will carry the game.
Yup, I think I’m gonna do it.

You should get it. I tell you, I would be lost without channelsurfing(dot)net myself. Soccer is a 4-letter word here in south Alabama, so I have to keep it very quiet.

Jen, go ahead and do it. England v france…it’s worth the price of admission. My current favorite player won’t be playing though – Thierry Henry. He seems to be injured quite a a bit lately. Still, there are so many wonderful players on both teams including Becks. Anyway, have a jolly good time. Cheerio!

I noticed Henry wasn’t playing. That’s disappointing. It’s still going to be a great match though, I agree.
I’ve purchased it and set the DVR in case the kids require parenting.

I’m with you Jen! Unfortunately none of us are with you, Laurie ;-( . Make us proud and be an embarrassingly loud fan, we’ll be watching (yes, I know you’ll be being loud for France, but I’m sure you can spare a hoot for Becks). Have fun!!!!!

Beckham is starting! I’m so excited for him. I really have a soft spot for the guy, I really do. I hope he plays 60 minutes at least and sets up every decent chance that England has. 11 more minutes!

Nice to see Beckham get his 100 cap and hopefully he’ll earn some more matches (Galaxy Fans cringe), possibly when we play England in the upcoming friendly.
but more importantly we beat Poland 3-0…….

I have no problem with him being taken from MLS play for national play. If the Galaxy can’t field a decent team without him (or Donovan, since international games are often at the same time) then we are more or less a one trick pony.
