Tyrone Marshall Breaks FrankenCooper’s Leg

By: Laurie | June 11th, 2007

I will admit that I don’t like Dallas. And there are some Dallas players that I am particularly not fond of. (I’m talking to you, Clarence Goodson.)

But Kenny Cooper, also known as FrankenCooper? To tell you the truth, I have a bit of a soft spot for the big lug. He may be lumbering, graceless and kind of scary to watch, but he sort of grows on you after awhile. And then he shocks you with those goals. So it was with great distress that I read that he suffered a broken tibia (shinbone) in Saturday’s game, and we’re go blame.

By “we,” of course, I don’t mean me. Or you, for that matter. Unless, of course, your name is (ahem) Tyrone Marshall.

Tyrone? I mean this with all due respect, because I like you. But sweetie? What the HELL were you thinking? I haven’t been able to make Verizon run the highlights for me yet to see this (let alone watch the game), but it sounds like it was Ugh. Lee. And now Kenny Cooper is out for two months or so. Plus we’re down yet ANOTHER player for at least the next game and probably a whole bunch longer.

And the scariest thing is? The season’s only a quarter done.

It was a stupid attempt at a tackle. Tyrone is gone, but we should have Xavier to replace him for this weeks game, and maybe permanently.
