Well, if we don’t vote we’ll have nobody but ourselves to blame if the team is filled with TFC players like Danny Dichio. Yes, that would be the same Danny Dichio who recently served a suspension for taking a bite out of Chicago player Diego Gutierrez. Yes, a bite.
Now don’t get me wrong. I think I speak for all fans everywhere when I say that yes, each of us has probably had a player or two we wouldn’t have minded taking a little nibble on at some point. But the rest of us kept two words in mind. Words that we took seriously. Words that meant something to us. Words that made us remember that we were answering to a power higher than our spur-of-the-moment, selfish desires. And those words were:
Self. Control.
Or maybe they were Restraining. Order. Whatever. My point is, Danny? We did not act on our impulses.
And I think we need to fill the team with players who meet our high standards.
(Because all Landon ever did was pee on the pitch.)
