Watching (or not watching) the Galaxy Game

By: Laurie | May 9th, 2008

This is another one of those not-available-everywhere games. HDNet and FSN-W, neither of which I get. Also apparently MSG? I got the following promo from them, so I dug a little deeper and discovered that it’s Madison Square Garden. Meaning New York based. Which doesn’t help me, but may help some of you.

If you’re looking for pirate streams, you might try these sites:

http://www.myp2p.eu/ or

http://livefooty.doctor-serv.com/ It’s not scheduled to be shown here at the moment, but you never know if that will change.

And here’s a video that was sent to me about the game:

This Really Sucks this Season… i wouldn’t mind if we could at least get more of the Games on The Spanish Channel (FTRAE) I don’t mind that i can’t follow the Commentary! I can still Follow the game!!!! Last year we had some on ESPN2 … (because it was Beck’s first year, but it sure Spoiled me). What happens if we DO get more Teams in MLS League??? will we see even fewer of The Galaxy:

Can any of you guys get the sports package that includes the Fox Sports Channels? It’s not much per month. $12?

Do they black out FSW on the West Coast? There was a game a few weeks back that was blacked out on FSW and I went nuts, called DirecTV, and got Direct Kick. Now if the game is on Direct Kick they don’t black it out on the FS channels.

I know you can only get the FSN channel(s) for your region. However, I get MSG with the DirecTV sports package, even though I’m in California.

I wish FSN on Saturday Nights would Drop the MLS Pre-Game and Post-Game shows and give us 2 MLS games instead, as they do for The Premiere League…. hopefully we’d get more LAG then!!!! I get The ESPN Channels with FSN and pay extra for SETANTA. Great during BPL season. Doesn’t help LAG tho’.

Might be on MLSlive.tv, the other day there was a game from HDNet that was also broadcast in a local sports channel (Comcast Sports Net, I think). Don’t remember which game it was, but check MLSLive.tv and they just might have it.

I don’t understand how MLS will get more popular if there is no way fans abroad can watch it…are we supposed to watch highlights…embarrassing
And I so agree with Shel about pre\after-game s*** (sorry) they show. It could be easyly two games.
My Fox shows all the day Golf, golf, golf and Everton-tv
The answer for me “is not watching the Galaxy game”. I can’t afford to wake up at 5am on Sunday and get black screen.

When the league starts getting bigger more recognition and respect internationally it will start making big money from selling international TV rights. Until then, it looks like the league is focusing on building its base in the U.S. Its hard for some of us domestic fans to watch our team, so we understand how you fans abroad feel.

Damn, I hate to miss this game, or any other Galaxy game for that matter. I have NPG cable and to get FSC I have to go to the digital blah blah blah setup which is quite a bit more. I already pay so much for the basic cable and high speed internet through them. I wish it was on MLSlive.tv at least! MLS really needs to get a good tv deal for the league to grow into other market places and start making some money!

Glen, question about TVU. I’ve downloaded the software. Now how would I launch a game?

Laurie, after you installed the software go to the website:
    http://pages.tvunetworks.com/channels/#
(only works for me in Internet Explorer, although I use FireFox for everything else) click on sports from the top selections and you’ll see soccer listed on the left column and you should be good to go.
