We’ve Got A Wager! Let’s Pounce!

Our darling Dave Martinez of the New York Red Bulls Offside page (and others) has wagered a bet with Nathan and me.

Whoever wins the LA/NY match tomorrow night (Thursday, 5pm) gets to put the other team to shame, here on our very own blog page.

Dave and Laurie (of the Seattle page, and former LAG blogger) had a similar bet earlier this season. Look how that turned out.

Now, you know that we are going to win this one, right? Beckham’s debut. Donovan has a hell of a lot to prove after all the he-said/he-said. New York is having one of the suckiest seasons in history.

So I need your help. Send me your photoshops, your spoofs, anything derogatory regarding the Red Bulls and/or their players. If When we win, Nathan and I get to write up a nice little victory post for the NYRB’s Offside page — and we will include the winning photoshop/spoof for all of the Red Bulls fans to read. You know that with all the Beckham/Donovan/Grant Wahl book media blitz going on, that the Red Bulls fans are going to have a field day making spoofs of us.

  Nate’s got jokes AND fighting words! Well, were we a better team and not destined to lose, I would fight back, but unfortunately, there is nothing worse that talking smack and watching your team collapse.

  Man do I hope the Bulls put up a fight . . . I have to display the fan art! haha
