A Tale of Two Headlines

By: Laurie | January 17th, 2008

The headline on my RSS Reader read:

Galaxy add FC Dallas Star Ruiz to Potent Offense

But when you go to the actual article you get:

Ruiz Joins Beckham, Donovan on Galaxy’s Roster

My guess is that it was originally written by somebody who hadn’t seen the Galaxy play last year, and edited by somebody who had.

But “potent offense” sound good, doesn’t it? Doesn’t it fill you with hope? Is this our new phrase for 2008?

Let’s cross our fingers.

Well we’d better have a “potent offense” because if
we keep trading all our experienced defenders we’re
    going to need it.
