A Freudian Slip From Your Galaxy Office
By: Laurie | August 21st, 2007So I was visiting the Galaxy website today and stumbled across this little paragraph from our weekly update, courtesy of “Los Angeles Galaxy Media Relations:”
David Beckham and Landon Donovan will be flying back from Europe to be available for this game as LA looks to kick start their postseason push with a win in the SuperClasico.
Okay, so yeah, I understand what they meant by “postseason push.” They meant the push towards the postseason, right? I’m pretty sure that’s what they meant.
But did anybody else, on first read-through, think, “Yes, they’re right. The season is over. The post-season has begun. So let’s just get on with making the bucks for all the other teams”?
I think we did quite well for New York.
Oops, sorry. My cynicism is showing.

OK it’s raining and Zidane’s not coming…well at least not anywhere you can watch him (enjoy that sentence however you want)…pick up the shattered pieces of your life and move on girl! There’s still pride to fight for and matches to win and a team to build (and gossip about)…and possibly young players turning to the potentially humorous offside to find something to live for. Oops the point was NOT to veer that way. Whatever, cheer up.
