A Truly Depressing Collection of Galaxy Headlines

By: Laurie | June 6th, 2007

I’m back in town at last! (And let me tell you, there’s nothing I like more that sitting in close airline seat quarters for 5+ hours, “sharing” my armrest with an alpha male armrest hog, and then glancing across the aisle to see that the fifty-something guy on the other side is reading an article titled, “Your Best Condom Options.”)

Um…yeah.

But back to soccer. I’m now catching up on all the Galaxy news that happened while I was gone. First stop? The Galaxy website. And boy, is that depressing! Here’s a selection of current headlines:

Galaxy Know they Have to Win Now

Effort There But Galaxy Still Frustrated

Galaxy and United Finish Goalless

Galaxy Need Result Amidst Adversity

You get the picture. Things are not looking good right now in Galaxy-land. The boys need to get some wins under their belts or even Beckham won’t be able to save them. And now Landon, our only even semi-consistent offensive player, is taking off for international duty.

Who will save our Gals?

Good question. There are some rumors floating around about new acquisitions. So let me research this and get back to you.

Next stop? Dallas. I HATE Dallas. Galaxy guys, if you’re going to win one, make it this one, okay?

Yeah, it must suck to blog about the Galaxy. Oh … right … I blog about the only team (standings-wise) worse than the Galaxy … and we don’t even know how to hire people right. Back to waiting for halftime to end in Faroes v. Scotland.

Although I did laugh out loud when I saw that Italy only beat them 2-1.

Hey now … France is already ahead, and I’m fine with them going through … France and Scotland can ally against Italy and Ukraine, and make this whole campaign a lot easier.

(Sorry about that beating-you thing … probably won’t happen again)

Hi Laurie, how are you ??

I believe in Galaxy and they will be very realistic infront of the goal at next game, no prblem, Cobi and his teamates will be irreproachable !!!

How can you hate Coupet? I adore Coupet. Oh, right, I forgot you’re a Barthez fan. :-) What’s the French gossip on exactly why Coupet’s not playing? Most of what we’re getting over here is the “official” version, which I’m sure is unrelated to the truth.
