Galaxy Heads to Puerto Rico

By: Laurie | March 21st, 2007

Our Galaxy guys headed to Puerto Rico yesterday. Sadly, I was again not invited. Hey, I could have forgiven Bermuda, but this double snub is a bit hard to take. Particularly at the end of a long and wet Seattle winter. But I shall soldier on.

So what are our guys doing in Puerto Rico? “USL-MLS Challenge,” anyone? The Galaxy are enjoying the sun along with FC Dallas. The two teams are not there to play each other, but to play the Puerto Rico Islanders and the Rochester Rhinos. (Does that last name make anybody else giggle? No? Just me? Okay, never mind.)

Landon Donovan and Quavas Kirk didn’t make the trip. Landon’s in training with the USMNT for the upcoming international friendlies, and Quavas will be training with the US U-20s.

Here’s the “Galaxy Weekly Training Schedule” (All times Pacific)
