Ooh, some tough news to swallow. Looks like we got rid Randolph, Cronin, and MacDonald. It’s sad, since all of these players showed flashes of brilliance at some points.

in the second half. He looked fast and was not any roster.

Thanks for the comment! Sorry to offend with comments on the Ex. Feel free to take the Dave Martinez approach and dis your own targets.

Suwon did outplay the Galaxy, but I know that we were playing a very make-shift lineup both because of injuries and because Arena is checking new talent out. We played much better at the end when Buddle and Magee were in the mix.

Having said that, I agree with your no offense comments. That’s my big worry. If Landon does not come back, the team is going to struggle for goals unless Kirovski and Magee step up. Buddle is talented, but thrives on service.

However, if both Becks and Landon return then the team could be very good, actually. The defense is still weak, but already a big improvement from last year. If Gonzalez can mature quickly and if Dema does his job, then the D will be better than last year by a lot. If not, then it will continue to compete with d-mid as the weakest part of the team.

If we could get Lewis, Magee, Donovan, Beck, Klein, Buddle and Kovalenko on the field all at the same time, it will be a very good tough team to play against. But if we can’t get that combo, the team is going to be average of someplace below it.

We’ve got a month more to see what happens…

All most all the comments I agree with, except those aimed at the x-President! To move on, AEG and Galaxy talking heads say that “when” Beckham returns, he will be the utmost professional. If utmost professional means, self-centered, me-ONLY attitude, then he fits perfectly. He has shown his true colors, and I hope he DOES not return, or if so, leaves at the end of the year. Enough Beckham mania crap! As far as the Galaxy on the field; 2nd rate teams you are right, but they outplayed the Galaxy anyway. I stoppe watching after the own-goal. Defense is still a sieve and seems to stop nothing. NO OFFENSE, NO OFFENSE, NO OFFENSE…seems evident. Maybe some of these players will step up to the rolls, but it could be another long and dreadful season to watch!

Tuck – I’ve actually seen both Sheva’s and Ronaldinho’s names floated in mainstream media Beckham rumors in recent weeks. I’m sure Andriy’s whip cracker of a spouse would gladly sacrifice what’s left of his career to get him to LA. And even though his current form is on par with the MLS, Sheva does not have the name recognition in the U.S. to justify the Galaxy paying him the sort of money he is getting now.

Acually Shevchenko was linked with the MLS when he was riding the bench at Chelsea and he still isn’t playing much at Milan. Plus his wife is American SOOO.. you never know.
