Tower0, I agree with much of what you're saying, especially about the fact that we'd better not have just sacrificed something for nothing in the coaching area. But I also want to keep Xavier and Klein -- I think they were good additions and offered stability to a back line that suddenly became reliant on youngsters.

Jack, I know what you mean about being undecided about Yallop. I also, sadly, think he'll be better off in San Jose.

Melissa, I'm less and less able to visualize Landon here next year, and where else but San Jose? Have fun with him, and provide some tough love for that OCD thing, will ya?

Jeff: Bruce Arena?!? Ack! Ack! Coughing up hairballs!

I, for one, would love to see Mourinho here, just to see the collision of the egos between Special 1 and Special 2.

My hand is halfway up and halfway... um sideways. I dunno. Sure I loved that impassioned frackin' speech, and I agree that there is someone higher up who-shall-not-be-named that is way more responsible for the chaos and mess and pain we all felt-feel at the moment. But the fog and haze of the Becks import hoo hah has me too confused to tell. I think he'll do better in SanHo.

Mebbe we can get Jose Mourinho? LOL LMAOROTF! I don't blame Franks for leaving and it worries me that he-who-shall-not-be-named is still in charge to frack over whomever comes in next. I personally want to see he-who-shall-not-be-named show up on Fox Fone In and try to explain and expectorate for hisseff. I have the number on speed dial in case it happens... I've got a load of things to ask he-who-shall-not-be-named.

I can go with a lot of what tower mentioned above--except the Xavier thing and the Kelly Gray thing.. good grief, mister-back-always-facing-the-goal-only-pass-backwards has got to just go a-way. please, we don't need more 'Merkin sahkur (aka basketball on grass) we need total footballers, ding dangit. If Chris and Abel can get some training time together I can see that as being a solid death trap for MLS forwards... OK so I'm partial to old guys from portugal... ew.

Laurie, glad to see you back! Ya' scared me for a bit.

The thing that's kicking around my head? Someone else said it above, but I'm going to second it here: if LA let Yallop go without a replacement that looks a lot like an improvement, I don't know what the hell they were thinking.

I've been following this one, so may as well plug 'em: Yep, Yallop got screwed and, out of curiosity, how would Galaxy fans feel about getting the abruptly available Bruce Arena? (No, I don't think that one will happen...still, kick it around because you can't kick Alexi right now.)

No lie... that Yallop speech killed me too.

I agree with tower0surfer's bit where more players are going to request a transfer back to San Ho now. I still can't get behind Donovan going back tho. I think he'd be universally booed at every game. SJ fans are a bitter bunch.

Now that my team is out of the playoffs, I'm more excited about the expansion draft than the Cup final. Bring it on!

This is going to hurt. I expect a couple, if not more, of players to look to leave their teams and head back to San Jose. Great for the league, but we as Galaxy fans are losing out big time. Liewicke had better have Klinsmann or some other big coach lined up right now. The last thing this club needs is a horrendous tour in Canada and the South Pacific. I strongly hope that the club does not recycle a previous coach from this league. I personally do not buy the whole approach that this league is that special or difficult to coach in because of schedule issues. A great coach maps out the players and the schedule, Serie A, EPL, La Liga all have weird breaks for international games or even mid season breaks; MLS does not, but the use of players and making sure you are deep as well as balanced is needed by all clubs of all great leagues. Send Donovan to San Jose, we have speedy forwards who can get onto Beckham's passes; what we need is salary cap room to bring in more talent and depth, not one or two expensive players. Joe Cannon is solid so we must keep him, I want a goalie who has to prove that last season was not his fault. Defense is better with Albright back, lose Xavier and Jazic and Keep Harden and other young defenders. Klein should go as well as Martino; Klein cause he is too old, and Martino because he gets too many yellows and holds the ball until it is taken off his feet. Kelly Gray can do a better job then Harmse who also gets way too many yellows. Roy Keane is Roy Keane; Kevin Harmse is no Roy Keane. A tough central midfield is needed, but reckless and foul happy is not.
Things could be great this off season if LALAS goes Gearge Castanza and just does the opposite of what he thinks is the right move.
