My 8-year old son is a huge fan. Studies the rosters and picture books. We sit in the front row right behind the home goal near the corner. Before the second half a group of players I didn't recognize were warming up in the corner. Just as there was a lull in the crowd noise, my son, out of the blue, yells at the top of his voice, "Hey Michael!" One of the players turns and looks at us, completely startled to hear his name, and finds my son waving wildly at him. He smiled excitedly and waved back. My son proudly turned to me and said, "That's Michael Gavin." Must be the first time anyone in the stands has recognized him! Great moment to share from the last game.
