Ian, I’m with you in that I love to see teams with entirely different styles and from different continents play each other. The thing is, I just don’t trust AEG’s motives when they put this kind of thing together. Which doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love to see the game.

I’ve heard about more MLS games, but Celtic doesn’t seem to have them posted – I’ll look into this more.

Ian – do you know if Celtic are playing the Fire on their MLS tour? I’ve heard they are, but I see nothing on either team’s website about it.

Playing a lot of friendlies and getting international experience is good for the team and good for the MLS. Rangers play a very different style of football than Galaxy, and I think its a great way to bring European football to the US as well as give MLS some visibility abroad. I agree that there is such a thing as too many games, but as a fan of SPL and MLS, I’m very excited for this match.

OK, this is getting out of hand. We have way too many damn games. Enough already. But, I guess we can take solis (how do you spell that?) in the fact that the game is in May and not later on in the summer time.
