Watching the Pan-Pacific Tournament. Or not.
By: Laurie | February 20th, 2008I’m have a heckuva time finding info on watching tonight’s Pan-Pacific game. Originally I read that both games were supposed to be on ESPN360.com, but right now only the later Houston game is showing up on the schedule. My usual sources are coming up blank. Anybody have info with a source?
It is definitely on the ESPN Classic schedule, though, so I’m hoping it’s an oversight that it’s not on the 360 schedule. Otherwise those of us without ESPN Classic will all read about it afterwards.
If I can get this game, I’m thinking about liveblogging it. I liveblogged a Champions League game today and it was kind of fun, so why not? It will give us a chance to at least see who plays and how they’re doing.
Landon Donovan is apparently out with an achilles tendon injury, and Kyle Martino didn’t make the trip. Rumor is he’s being traded.
Dammit.
Other than that I’m hoping to see the game so I can see how things are going in the off-season. If I can watch it, I’ll be online as the game is going on, so feel free to stop by and leave comments.
UPDATE: I left a comment on the blog The Other Football earlier today asking for an update, and Brant, the blogger, emailed me back personally with info. (What this means is that he’s a nice guy and all of you need to stop by and read his blog.) He says that if you’re relying on ESPN360, you’re out of luck. But the game will be on ESPN Classic, which I have discovered that I DO have. So yes, I do think I’ll liveblog it, just for fun and for those of you who were hoping for ESPN360. And be sure to drop a nastygram to ESPN for dropping it. I’ll find a link later.
