"Would someone please explain to me why Findley was traded instead of Jaqua?"

My guess? Because they could get something of value in exchange for Findley. (Although if Saturday is any indication, we kinda got hosed in the trade. I'm thinking Alexi and Frank now need to be watching their own backs.)

I may be impossibly naive, but I am still holding out hope for Pavon when it comes to finishing. Granted, all I know about him comes from YouTube, but the quality of his YouTube finishes is certainly better than any othe team members' YouTube finishes, right?

Would someone please explain to me why Findley was traded instead of Jaqua? Jaqua has been a bust to date. I'm very suprised that Yallop has continued to start him. He's scored one goal this season and it basically bounced off of him into the net. He has showed no ability to finish. At 6'3", I am perplexed to why he does not dominate in the air. How does a man that tall not win a majority of those balls. I have yet to see him threaten to score on a corner kick or cross into the box. Does the Galaxy think that Beckham is going to be happy about all his crosses being blown by Jaqua. Beckham is used to setting up world class finishers. In contrast, Findley scored two goals this season (four, if you count his RSL debut). I believe one was a nice header on a corner kick. How tall is Findley? I think he is at least 5 inches shorter than Jaqua. It is also very clear by watching him race down the sidelines that he has speed. The guy can shift into another gear and blow by people. He has a nose for the ball and was very exciting to watch. This is only his first year in the league out of college. He was only going to get better with the galaxy as he ran down all those Beckham crosses. Congrats Salt Lake. With Freddy Adu, you just might have yourself an exciting tandem.

Good looking out for the boys Laurie!! (The ones who actually go out on the pitch to play, that is). Brilliantly said, nice parallel and, of course, excellent illustration.
