Alexi Denies the Zurawski Rumor

You know those Maciej Zurawski-to-Galaxy rumors? SO two days ago.

Or at least that’s the official word from Alexi Lalas.

“Reports have been swirling on two continents that the Los Angeles Galaxy are about to sign Polish international Maciej Zurawski. According to Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas, those rumors are completely false — but it doesn’t mean the Galaxy aren’t looking to upgrade and add some depth as the 2008 season approaches.”

Sorry, Magic. Guess you’ll have to find another team to get you ready to lead Poland to Euro glory.

Too bad, too. I was just warming up to the idea.

  Ouch- does this mean you’re getting the Little Bloated Fish Back? Washed ashore? As a Dynamo fan, maybe I could then again root for Dallas (when I lived in Dallas, I was a Burn supporter) if Ruiz was gone…

  Even though getting Ruiz might be karmic payback for all those Laker wins over the Celts in the seventies, I’d wish Jack Nicholson on you before… (wincing as I write this)… before Carlos. Maybe it’s time to box him up ala Boxing Helena or Barton Fink (more appropos with LA setting) and literally send him home!
